CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. - The Colorado State softball team (4-1) won its final game of the Cathedral City Kickoff in extra innings against UC Riverside (1-4) to improve to 4-1 to begin the season.

After giving up five runs in the first three innings, the Rams got on the board in the bottom of the fourth with a two-run home run by senior Julia Kloppe to score freshman Caitlan Stem from third.

Kloppe came through once again in the bottom of the seventh with two outs and Munoz on second. She singled to score Munoz from second and tie the game at five.

In the top of the eighth, UC Riverside scored on a one out single by Katie Curtis to score Stephanie Marshall from third.
