DALLAS, Texas - The TCU Horned Frogs couldn't find an answer for the Bailey twins from SMU as they fell to the Mustangs, 5-2, Friday night at Westcott Field. Kimber Bailey recorded a hat trick for the Mustangs, while Krystal Bailey scored the other two goals. For the Frogs Moran Lavi and Caroline Starns tallied goals in the second half. SMU out shot the Frogs 13-10 in the match, including an 11-5 advantage on goal.

The Frogs suffered a blow in the fourth minute, when goalkeeper Katy Buchanan was forced to leave the game with an injury. Kimber Bailey broke through the TCU defense and streaked in toward the goal. Buchanan came out to play the ball, but was inadvertently taken down ending her half.

The Mustangs cracked the scoreboard in the 18th minute. Bailey once again broke through the TCU defense, picking up a great feed from Jena Lind. Bailey found herself one-on-one with backup goalkeeper Lindsay White and blasted the shot low and to the right to give SMU the 1-0 lead.

Six minutes later the Mustangs went on the offensive attack again. After a scrum low in the penalty area, Brown once again found herself with an open shot on goal and she picked up her second goal of the contest in similar fashion to the first.

After an SMU foul in their defensive zone setting up a free kick for the Frogs. Waters took the kick and drilled it all the way to goal where Nickens was waiting. Gunter came out of goal to play the ball before Nickens was able to head it past her.

Bailey's twin sister got in the scoring action in the 34th as she gave the Mustangs a 3-0 lead. Lind sent a cross through the goal box right to the foot of Krystal Bailey, who took the bad angle shot.

The save of the night went to Gunter as she stone-walled Karissa Hill late in the first half. Hill battled her way through two SMU defenders and found herself with a wide open shot. She blasted the ball towards the net forcing Gunter to make a diving save.

The Frogs picked up the pressure offensively in the second half. Buchanan came back in goal and was forced to make a stop early in the half, but from there the Frogs offense took over.

Five minutes into the half, TCU made its first rush of the half and cut into the SMU lead. The ball bounced around the goalbox before finding its way out to a waiting Moran Lavi who blasted the ball into the upper left corner of the goal for her first goal of the season.

Three goals came in rapid fire in the middle of the half. Kimber Bailey picked up her third goal of the contest in the 58th minute for a 4-1 lead, but the Frogs had an answer with Caroline Starns. She found herself alone with the ball in the right corner of the penalty area and drilled the shot over Gunter's head to make it 4-2. Seconds later Krystal Bailey had the answer for SMU as she beat Buchanan low for the 5-2 lead.

With the loss, the Frogs fall to 1-2 on the season. The Frogs are back in action on Tuesday when they wrap up their brief road swing at former Conference USA foe, Houston. Game time for the match is set for 3:00 p.m. at John O'Quinn Stadium.
