2004 Mountain West Women's Golf All-Conference Team Announced At Championship UNLV sophomore Sunny Oh was selected as player of the year, while New Mexico's Ashley Rollins was named top freshman.

SUNRIVER, Ore. - The Mountain West Conference announced its all-conference team and individual awards at the conclusion of its women's golf championship today at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore. UNLV sophomore Sunny Oh was selected as player of the year, while New Mexico's Ashley Rollins was named freshman of the year. Coach of the year honors went to Missy Ringler of UNLV. Oh, ranked third in conference in stroke average at 74.33 entering the MWC Championship. She collected six top 10 finishes this season, including three in the top five. She won two individual titles in 10 tournaments played, including medalist honors at the 2004 Mountain West Conference Championship. Oh claimed the second MWC individual award of her career after being named freshman of the year in 2003.
Ashley Rollins of New Mexico garnered freshman of the year honors after
leading all freshman with a 74.14 stroke average (entering the MWC
Championship) this season and recording four top 10 finishes.
Second year head coach Missy Ringler of UNLV captured coach of the year honors after taking the third year Division I golf program to new heights this season. The Rebels won three tournaments in 2004, including their first MWC Championship after upsetting four-time league champion New Mexico. New Mexico placed four players on the all-conference team for the second year in a row, followed by UNLV and San Diego State with one apiece. The Lobos Katrina Leckovic and Kailin Downs are all three-time all-conference selections, while the Rebels Sunny Oh and New Mexico's Shannon Johnson are two-time honorees.
