2007 MWC Women's Basketbll Tournament Post Game Notes

BYU wins in the quarterfinals for the seventh time in the eight-year history of the MWC Tournament. The Cougars improved to 13-6 all-time in the tournament, while Air Force is now 1-8.
BYU's 32-point margin of victory is the fourth-largest in MWC Tournament history. It was also the second-largest margin of victory for the Cougars this season as they beat Weber State, 79-42, on Dec. 14.
BYU went on a 19-0 run over a 7:45 span, turning a tied game into a 29-10 advantage with 4:55 to play in the first half. Air Force came no closer then 17 points the rest of the game.
BYU's leading scorer and Co-MWC Player of the Year, Dani Wright, left the game with an ankle injury with 13 minutes left in the first half, and did not return.
BYU's Jennie Keele finished with a career-high tying five steals in the game, which also ties for third-most in MWC tournament history.
BYU advances to the semifinal round for the third straight year, and will meet the winner of the Utah-TCU matchup at 2:30 p.m. PT Friday.
