LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Wynel Seldon ran for two touchdowns and 121 yards to lead Wyoming to a 38-0 victory over Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday.

The Cowboys (1-1) shut down Louisiana-Monroe's quarterback, Steven Jyles, holding him to 13 completions on 32 attempts and 106 yards. The Indians' (0-2) best offensive drive got them only to the Wyoming 23-yard line in the third quarter; Ragan Walters missed a 46-yard field goal try in the first quarter, and Cole Wilson missed a 44-yard try in the fourth.

It was the first time since 1996 that Wyoming shut out an opponent. The Cowboys beat Hawaii 66-0 on Sept. 14, 1996.

Freshmen scored Wyoming's last four touchdowns. Seldon scored on a 1-yard run late in the first half, then again on a 5-yard run in the third quarter made it 24-0; J.R. Moore had a 3-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to make it 31-0; and Chris Sundberg made the final score, catching a 5-yard pass from backup quarterback Jacob Doss.

Corey Bramlet, who started for the Cowboys, finished 13 of 23 for 223 yards and one touchdown.

Bramlet's 14-yard pass to Jovon Bouknight late in the first quarter capped an 82-yard drive and put the Cowboys up 7-0. Deric Yaussi followed up for the Cowboys with a 34-yard field goal in the second quarter.
