A 6-foot-5 guard from Oklahoma City, Okla., Giddens led New Mexico to a 24-9 record and third-place Mountain West finish this season. He averaged 16.3 points and 8.8 rebounds in 2007-08, becoming the first guard to lead the MWC in rebounding, while also posting a league-best 18.3 scoring and 8.3 rebounding average during the 16-game conference schedule.

Over the nine-year history of the Mountain West Conference, nine individuals have received All-American honors from the Associated Press, including Utah's Andrew Bogut, who was a consensus All-American selection as the National Player of the Year in 2004-05.
