AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) - Antoine Hood had 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting to lead Air Force to a 63-44 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Wednesday night.

The Falcons won their fourth straight game to improve to 6-1, tying the best start in school history.

Air Force got off to a hot start, connecting on seven of its first ten 3-pointers to take a double-digit lead, 20-8, with 12:18 remaining in the first half. Behind 65 percent shooting and 15 points from Hood, Air Force took a commanding 45-20 first-half lead to the locker room and never looked back.

"I thought our defense was solid, and we were able to shut them down," said first-year head coach Jeff Bzdelik.

Things didn't get better for the Golden Lions (1-2) in the second half. Arkansas-Pine Bluff missed its first six shots to begin the half as Air Force pushed its lead to as many as 33 points with 12:28 remaining. The Falcons out-rebounded Arkansas-Pine Bluff 29-24 and held the Golden Lions to 38 percent shooting for the game.

"The sky is the limit," Hood said about the Falcons. "We have great chemistry this year, and we're definitely a special team."

Air Force sophomore guard Tim Anderson added nine points off the bench, and Dan Nwaelele and Matt McCraw added eight apiece.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff senior guard Martese Coleman hit five 3-pointers in his 16-point night, which included 12 second-half points, to lead the Golden Lions.
