Frogs Edged by Drake, 86-79 Blake Adams scores career high 19 points for TCU.

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Chris Bryant scored 13 points to lead Drake past TCU 86-79 Saturday in the third-place game at the Las Vegas Holiday Invitational. Also for Drake (3-1), Ajay Calvin and Jonathan Cox each had 11 points and 8 rebounds, and Leonard Houston had a career-high 11 points. The Bulldogs' 3-1 start matches their best since 1999-00. Al Stewart, who went 3-for-4 from the free-throw line in the final 51 seconds, added 10 points and 5 assists for Drake, which shot 91 percent from the line as a team. Nile Murray led TCU (1-3) with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Blake Adams, who was 4-for-5 from 3-point range, had a career high 19 points with 6 rebounds. After leading 44-40 at halftime, Drake never gave up the lead, building its largest lead at 81-68 with 5:11 left. TCU then answered with a 10-1 run, cutting the lead to 82-78 before Stewart hit his free throws in the final minute. There were four ties and four lead changes in the first half as TCU went 10-for-17 from 3-point range to keep it close. TCU's biggest lead came at 18-13 with 13:46 left in the half. The Bulldogs rallied and later built a 41-32 advantage with 2:48 left.
