Stats

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -Ryan Wall scored 10 of his career-high 27 points in the second overtime as TCU beat Texas-Arlington 97-89 Saturday.

TCU (3-0) blew a 10-point lead in the final 2:48 of regulation as it went cold from the foul line and Texas-Arlington (2-1) hit its last six shots to force overtime.

Blake Adams' 3-pointer put the Horned Frogs ahead 85-82 with 2:50 left as they scored the first seven points of the second overtime.

Wall then hit all 10 of his free throws in the final 1:37 to seal TCU's 10th straight win over Texas-Arlington.

Wall's layup with 20.7 seconds left tied the game at 82, and Texas-Arlington could not get a shot off before time expired in the first overtime.

Larry Posey had 22 points and 10 rebounds for Texas-Arlington. Anthony Vereen also had 22 points, and Rodrick Epps scored 19.

Kevin Langford had 18 points and Brent Hackett added 15 for TCU.

TCU seemed to be in control as it led 71-61 in regulation.

But the Horned Frogs missed nine of 14 foul shots in the final 2:48, and Brandon Long's 3-pointer with nine seconds left tied the score at 76.

The Horned Frogs missed nine of 14 free throws in that stretch, and Adams misfired on a 3-pointer at the buzzer that would have won it.

Adams finished with 13 points and Keion Mitchem chipped in with 11 for TCU.

Texas-Arlington used a 13-2 surge to take a 28-19 advantage. TCU answered with 10 straight points to take the lead, and the game was tied at 36 going into halftime.

The Horned Frogs went on a 12-2 spurt early in the second half to take a 51-41 lead.
