SAN DIEGO STATE MAINTAINS EARLY LEAD ATOP CONFERENCE STANDINGS
With its 2-1 series win over Utah (7-12, 1-2 MWC), the San Diego State Aztecs (12-10, 5-1 MWC) remain in first-place in the conference race heading into this week's action. UNLV (9-11, 2-1 MWC) held its second-place standing, while New Mexico (13-9, 3-3 MWC) and BYU (12-11, 3-3 MWC) are tied for third. TCU (11-10, 1-2 MWC) and Utah (7-12, 1-2 MWC) are tied for fifth in the league standings, while Air Force (8-12, 0-3 MWC) is seventh.

THIS WEEK IN THE MWC
Conference play continues this week with Utah hosting Air Force and UNLV hosting TCU in three-game series action, starting Friday.

The week's slate of games starts Tuesday with all seven MWC institutions in non-conference play, highlighed by league-leading San Diego State hosting No. 23 UCLA at Tony Gwynn Stadium. In non-conference series action, Air Force takes on Savannah State and New Mexico hosts New Mexico State in two-game series', starting Tuesday. In other non-conference series play, the Lobos host Vermont, BYU takes on Oral Roberts and San Diego State hosts Houston in three-game series', beginning Friday.
