SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT is a new feature to TheMWC.com where the Mountain West will correct or clarify misleading or inaccurate information appearing in press accounts.

Robert Gagliardi got it wrong in an August 29 Wyoming Tribune-Eagle article titled "MWC not found on satellite platforms". The story stated, "All eight games will be televised - five nationally, two regionally and one locally. But none on DirecTV or Dish Network." His statement is factually inaccurate due to the fact that six of the eight games being televised this week will be available on both DirecTV and Dish Network. In fact, 30 games involving MWC football teams will be available on both satellite providers during the 2007 season, including 24 games on VERSUS and CSTV.

Mr. Gagliardi also incorrectly identified the ownership and operation of the The Mtn. The network is owned by CSTV and Comcast and operated by Comcast SportsNet.
